This beater is surprisingly light for how thick it is. It's been finished really well so it's glossy and smooth.

Wanted a rug beater for ages. The bamboo type breaks. This is long enough and tough enough to do a great job on my area rugs than cannot be vacuumed adequately .

Have been 'beating' rugs with my hand for years and got tired of it, so ordered this. Wow, really gets the dust out and it's way easier than the way I used to do it. Wish I'd had one years ago.
