Good stick at first but starts to loosen pretty quickly. Also, unit starts to tilt downward after a short time. York loosens. Florida heat doesn’t help.

I bought this piece to place in my other vehicle to make it easier to transfer my Garmin from one vehicle to the other without having to break the suction cup from the window and repositioning each time. Perfect fit too!

If anybody's owned a garmin window mount for any length of time, they know that it will sooner or later.Lose its grib, both on the windshield and where it clips into the back of the unit. This is an excellent replacement. It fits tight into the back of the unit and has a better suction cup which attaches to the windshield. It's a little smaller than the original but it's very sturdy.

It's a little tight getting it attached to my Nuvi 55 but so far so good. It holds it in place on my windshield.

I feel that this is an after market item but I have not had any problems with it. It looks just like what I got with my Garmin 52 but I did have to force the base into the back of my GPS a little. but still good quality with no other complaints.

Needed an extra for my other vehicle. Bought this for $8 instead of spending the $20 for an original. This thing is a piece of crap, seriously. Feels solid, sort of looks OK but it's all about the functionality in the end. The one I got just didn't fit into the top slot in the Garmin units (42LM) back correctly. You could kind of force it in but the bottom part wouldn't catch solidly. It seemed like it'd let the GPS fall out if you hit a bump. Definitely not a precision fit. The tolerances for this thing are probably all over the place. Then I started thinking about where other corners may of been cut; maybe an inferior rubber suction cup, inferior materials in general, etc. and chalked it up as another lesson learned. The Garmin mount that came with the GPS fits perfectly. Easy in and out. Feels perfect. Sending this back to Amazon and heading to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up an original for $19.99. They're available on Amazon too for about a buck fifty less but I want to get one quickly. So I'll pay the extra and the tax.Side note: To all you folks buying various windshield suction mounts and saying they don't stick - the secret is in the spit - You got to "wet" the rubber part (either spit or water). Just a little moisture on your finger rubbed onto the rubber part, stick to the windshield squarely, and it'll stick for weeks or more. No kidding. In the summer, if you're parked facing the sun, it may come unstuck when you get back to your car. Otherwise it'll stick for a long time. Check it out.
