Flare fittings are the components in the pipeline system that play the roles of connection, control, reversal, diversion, sealing, and support.
Note that these brass flare nuts are low in lead but not suitable for drinking water.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
1. Flare fittings are suitable for occasions where it is necessary to increase the flow cross-section and reduce fluid resistance, such as industrial piping systems, hydraulic systems, etc.
2. Flare fittings effectively reduce the risk of leakage by flaring the end of the pipe into a flared shape, which then fits with the tapered part of the fitting to form a double seal.
3. Specialized tools and skills are required for flaring and installation.
4. The sealing performance of flare fittings is excellent, and the sealing is mainly realized by crimping the slant side inner sealing way, which avoids the end face of the pipe from contacting with the fluid.

MATTERS NEED ATTENTION：
1. Saw off the appropriate length of pipe, need to remove the port burrs.
2. Expand one end of the pipe uniformly into a flared shape using special tools (flapper and heat gun).
3. It is recommended to apply lubricating oil during assembly.
4. Make sure the two ports fit perfectly by means of a nut or other fastening means to achieve a secure connection. Do not over-twist when tightening as this may damage the fitting or crack the pipe at the flared end.

I'm continually impressed by this company's brass fittings. Had a big project and these (along with some other fittings from them) did a great job. Well made, well cut threads, no loose metal pieces hanging on. Screwed right on my flare fittings without a hitch. Great product, and so nice to have a big set in one bag.

As you can see by the photos that compare it to a long flare nut from stock, they are made with good quality brass and the threads and flare are very clean and work as they should.
