Shame on you for trying to sell this as an American Strat neck. It’s obviously made in Mexico. Also, it needs a ton of work before you can use it. Fretboard is dry, nut is terrible and requires adjustments with special tools, holes for tuners are too small, and installing the bolts that attach to your guitar body will destroy the finish and require accurate drilling of pilot holes. The guitar community should beware of purchasing this item

I sent mine back - roughly sanded, dry fingerboard with horizontal marks and a nasty mineral stain in the wood straight across the decal area. I am surprised this one made it through Fender quality control. I expected a lot more for the price. Some of the fretboard issues may have been somewhat fixable but the mineral stain was very ugly indeed and I would personally wouldn’t expect to see that on anything but a second due to the placement.

Horrible color. Doesn’t look vintage at all. It’s literally all orange

It’s a beautiful neck. The truss rod adjustment is at the heel and this neck is meant for a vintage strat bodies. I made it work on a generic standard strat style body but it was a hassle.

The title is not an accurate description of the product. It has a Mexican serial number and says "made in Mexico" on the image. This is not to say that Made in Mexico Strats are bad, but they are definitely perceived as "of lesser value" than the ones made in USA. You would not put a MIM neck on a US Stratocaster and expect the same resale value, for example. Most reviewers argue that the quality control and finishing touches are better on the US version (rolled frets, level frets, and so on).Arguing that Mexico is in North America is preposterous. the "American Professional" Stratocaster is made in USA. It commands a higher price. Fender could not market a MIM Strat as an "American Professional" because buys would have none of it. Advertise it for what it is. If it is as worth what you are selling, it will sell based on that. You can note that it will FIT an American (or Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Indonesian) Strat body so long as they are made to Fender specifications (in as much as any neck replacement would). You could add useful information like whether it will fit the 3 bolt versions for the 70s or the contoured heel of the Deluxe/Elite/Ultra series. But do not misrepresent what you are selling.

This is a good neck that apparently might need a bit of work (oiling of the neck and nut replacement/adjustments) depending upon the one you receive. Yes, this neck is a MIM, but here's a little known fact I gleaned from my tour of the Fender Corona factory: Fender cuts, sands, and prepares all their necks in the Corona plant. The necks labelled 'MIM', are sent down to Ensenada unfinished, and are then prepared there for the MIM guitars. So a MIM neck is essentially a MIA/MIM neck. Either way, the MIM necks are quite good now, and a much better value than the necks with the Made in America stamp on them.

As previous reviewer said, bone dry fingerboard. Lemon oil (or the like) with a few applications does the trick. The nut this neck comes with is complete garbage. You will want to change that out immediately. Lastly, there is a little lacquer over spray here & there but I can live with that. Once its dialed in, you will love it. Wanted to give two stars but three stars for the price. (the fender nut replacement cost me $15 from Amazon)

This is a great neck to buy if you don't mind a little work. But for the price, I'd keep looking or save for something better cause I got mine and the fretboard was so dried up I could almost crack it.
