This is a pronounced V neck and exactly what I was after. Not chunky like some can be. Excellent fret work and finish. Plays superbly. Very happy with it.

Neck arrived with an issue with the truss road. It’s too loose and cannot add more relief to it. Seller refused to help and told me to go see a fender dealer.Absolutely ridiculous

This neck needed a fret leveling job. Rather surprising considering the price.

I got a lemon there was a problem with the first 3 frets I got one though amazon warehouse deal and someone already bought and returned this one you can save money this way I’ve bought this way lots of times if you do make sure you have prime and buy prime products then if you do have any issues you can send it back for free I could tell this would be a great neck if the frets were not damaged and that could have happened after it left fender in a warehouse somewhere ! Only because of the frets I’ll give it 4 stars

These necks are made in Mexico...not the US. Otherwise they'd be SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive. Honestly it doesn't matter...unless you really have to have the US label on it. I have a US made 57 reissue neck and this is equal in every way. The woods used in a Mexican vs US are the same...more highly figured maple is set aside for upper end custom US models. Frequently during the manufacturing of Fender guitars, parts are worked on in both the US factory and the Mexican factory and shipped back and forth. That said, the neck has some nice highly visible grain. Vintage spec necks also don't have the extra refinements that modern spec necks have...so labeled "Made in Mexico" means you save $300 to $400 and get a neck that's the 100% equal to it's vintage spec'd US made counterpart. There is one BIG difference...the fretboard shoulder is not rounded like it would be on the MIA neck. That's not a bad thing, but it is something to take into consideration. Personally it doesn't bother me although all....just be aware. It is VERY amber in color, which I love...just be aware if you're looking for something with less of an amber tint. The frets are all good...don't see, feel or hear any frets too high or low. The fret ends are also nicely filed...no sharp edges. Once winter hits or if you live in an area with low humidity you'll probably have some fret sprout...it's normal as humid lowers or wood ages. The nitro lacquer is perfectly applied. If you've never had a nitro finished neck, they aren't as slick feeling as a poly finished neck at first. As it breaks in, that will quickly change and nitro neck become very slick and feel great. There's no neck finish that feels better than a broken in nitro finish. Just play enough to get past that initial slightly sticky feeling. A light rubdown with "0000" Steel Wool will speed that up and not damage the finish. Steel Wool rubdown PRIOR to installing neck is the better option...once the neck is installed bits of Steel Wool can end up magnetically stuck to pickup poles...not always I've done it but you do need to cover pickups or lay guitar face down. 600+ grit sandpaper is another option that works just as well...but go slower. The tuners you use MUST be vintage style. If not...you're going to be enlarging the holes and have to drill additional small screw holes. The VINTAGE style tuners designed for this neck aren't the same specs as "modern" tuners.

The tuner holes are not 10mm which is weird because it’s a fender product. The frets are way too small why did they put vintage frets in this?I can’t even test it out because my tuners won’t fit. If you want a modern lacquer neck you are going to have to make it your self

The fit to a Fender MIM CAR replacement body was perfect. I also tried it on my 2006 black Starcaster body. It enhanced warm mids on both bodies. With Custom Shop 54 pickups and .047 Orange drop cap it sounds and plays like a 50’s Strat—better than the 2002 Factory MIM Strat I owned. Great fret work has allowed for a very playable low action.

NIce finish, decent fret profile, and relatively straight neck. Unfortunately, there was an unusual amount of fretting out while bending at high frets, even for a 7.25" radius. I have a similar neck on my MIM Classic 50's tele neck, but that one plays a lot better. If you do mostly rhythm playing, or leads without a lot of bending up high, or like higher action, then sure get one. But not for my playing.
