his is a great bean bag gps support stays put better than the hippo one I have so much easier to use highly I went from a 7" GPS to a 5" so it works for the smaller ones

This gps mount is great!! Previous windshield mount ones with suction cups would regularly fall off in winter if the windshield was too cold, or in the summer if the windshield was too hot. This one stays nicely on the dash because of the weighted base and rubbery bottom. Does not slide. I highly recommend

I bought an adapter to go with this so I could put it on a large GPS. I was afraid it wouldn’t be big enough to handle the weight. I was going to make a beanbag wait to put on top of it to hold it in place. That proved to be unnecessary. It works just fine without any addition from me.

This product puts the device closer to me and in better sightline.I don't know if you can get attachments to use with phones. I'm still using with older Garmin GPS, which isn't the buzz it was 10 years ago I'm sure.... The GPS is still my preference until I make the hard switch to phone only.This purchase was a replacement for generally the same item that I'd been using for many years. It puts the GPS (or phone if attachment can be found) on the dash, rather than console or windshield, and much closer to (my) sightline so eyes can glance much more quickly and still stay on traffic.Others may find a different location far better, but this is what works for me.The dash mount makes it easier move from personal vehicles to rentals and doesn't leave 'rings' on windshield like suction cups. For some reason, I don't tend to forget it as easily on rental returns as I did with suction cup devices.You DO need a 'ball mount' accessory for whatever you're using with it. This mount only has the 'male' end of the mount. The 'friction pad' grips the dash adequately, but WILL slip if you start doing 3G turns.I like the product for my application(s).

Very stable. Not clumsy. A little expensive. Hope the plastic component that attaches the arm to the base holds up over time, but no reason to assume otherwise.
