Item works as advertised. Handy for fabricating multiple mounting points for Zumo.

Great mount if you do not want the XT2 cable. That is however just what I needed. But be aware, this is not same as the mount provided by the XT2, I think this is for XT (1).

I am powering my Garmin with the USB cable, and didn't need the direct connect wire. Yet I was hesitant to just snip it off thinking "maybe someday I'll use it". This little gismo installed in minutes, and the wire is gone,, nice and clean ! Great product !!

No me gustó que la ranura no es lo suficientemente amplia para el conector del XT2 . Tuvimos que abrirla con un equipo de lija. Complicadismo sin ese ajuste.

Seller and shipping was good. This is more about Garmins overly complicated mounting bracket. 2 pieces, 4 screws, 4 nuts, 4 spacers and a clamp that you have to be careful to get the gps installed in properly. If you have 2 motorcycles it will cost about $80 to set up 2 mounting brackets because power has to be ran directly to the battery. Garmin xt will not run off a power outlet using a usb port. Gps itself is very good but mounting bracket and having to wire directly to battery is not.

I couldn't fit the charging cable in the mount. The mount provided with my xt2 accommodated the charging just so, the supplemental mount does not. I was able to use usb charging to power the device and that was acceptable for my application, however were it not, this mount wouldn't have worked for for me. The first pic is the original mount with the charging cable installed in a car mount. The 2nd pic is of the listed mount that doesn't fit the charging cord. On the xt2 the usb charging port is on bottom of the unit where as on the xt it's on the back of the unit. In my opinion this is less than optimal in a car mount. Over time I foresee both the cord and or the usb ports lifespan potentially being shortened because of accidental impacts to the usb cord being inserted at the bottom instead of the back. This does totally work on the bike where the xt2 was designed to excel. In summary use the original mount for the car and supplementary mount(s) for the bike(s) is my suggestion. Full transparency I did use the supplied charging cord and a spare usb cord to create a usb car charging cord. You tube how to hardwire and adapt a usb to a 12 volt or 110 ac power cord. This video was invaluable for thi process. I took off one star because the supplemental mount is not as versatile as the original
