A lungo andare creerà problemi.

Just unboxed these 4 stands. The quality in my opinion is very inferior to what Gibraltar normally makes. These stands might be suitable for a young child but by no means a drummer who plays professionally or even at high school level.Truly I'm disappointed and feel like I've been deceived. For the same price I could have purchased full size DW stands. These stands are about 3/4 the size of normal stands and cheaply manufactured. I understood the tube diameters would be thinner than full sized tripod hardware but these stands are very fragile especially the hi hat stand.By comparison, DW lightweight alumni flat base hardware, though much smaller than full size stands, actually reach full height. They are also robust, so much so I use them on professional gigs. If you need a lightweight setup to play I would recommend a full sized DW flat base hihat stand, then their small lightweight alumni stands for cymbals. Combined that would create an easily transportable setup that can withstand the rigors of playing but is light and affordable.I trusted Gibraltar because in the past their equipment has always been decent. I'll be sending this purchase back.

Great stands for a cymbal set. Ours is used with a Gretsch drum set and it looks and works perfectly - hardware matches nicely.

Gibraltar seems to be looking to make quality pieces but they miss the mark with the small quality marks that take their work from OK to great. First, the snare stand, simple adjustment design, great for most applications but the adjustment wing nut is plastic. Over time this will stretch and begin to give out, possibly breaking. The hi-hat stand has solid spring, and easy mechanism but here again the pedal attaches to the stand with metal rods and plastic, the plastic holes will expand, possibly break, and "wallow out" as my Dad would say. The boom stand is useful for over floor tom applications with smaller cymbals, I was looking to put a 24" ride on it over the base and toms and it simply lacks the length, adjustment, and guts to work well. Much like their base pedal, decent, simple design with a thoughtful adjustment system but the tension screw and fulcrum adjuster do not line-up well so adjustment is difficult and the fit is poor. I think Gibraltar can do better and small quality improvements would go a long way, (returned)
