It lasted 2 months at the most. Plastic parts broke to pieces. Hard to tighten and loosen to cup holder when its flushed. And still wobbly in cup holder. Adjustment should be above the cup holder. Didn’t hold my Garmin GPS up, ball is on the smaller size. I would not recommend buying this product. Wasted $20 in buying this. I dont know why it has 4.5 stars and people keep on buying this product. Will buy one thats easier to loosen and tighten even if it cost a little more and probably last longer too. U get what u pay for i guess.

Purchased a Garmin Navigation for my husband in August 2023. Since that time I have been searching for an appropriate holder for his truck, he has a Toyota Land Cruiser. The cabin structure does not accommodate any of the general holders. I saw this one and took a chance it may fit. SURPRISE!! it fits perfectly. Very sturdy, height options and able to adjust to cup holder securely. Thank you Amazon.

This works great to fit in any cup holder. I would recommend it to hold your GPS.

Liked that I can use it for my GPS. However it is a little small for the cup holders in my Transit Van. And would be nice to be able to turn the base in order to accommodate the adjustable base.

I was a little skeptical that it would properly grip the (irregularly-shaped) inside of one of the cup holders in my 2021 Impreza but, at the widest possible expansion it seems to be holding. I don't like stuff on my windshield , obstructing my view, and couldn't really find a good place to put it on the dash, it sits a little low (wish I could raise it to closer to eye level) but I can get by with this set up.

This is well constructed, but was a recommended purchase for the 8" Garmin, which I now know uses a different size ball mount than smaller gps units. My gps unit did not fit this mount, so it was wasted money, but it is built very well and would have worked great for a smaller gps.

I had thought the item would be much sturdier. I presumed that from the images posted on the web.The holder sank too deep into the cup holder and would need something inserted underneath it to bring it up to a workable height. I say workable height, because it has to be up to a certain height to be able to twist the ring which expands the bottom of the item to fit tightly into the cupholder. Even after eventually managing that, it still feels very wobbly and I think with an attached GPS it would wobble far too much to make the GPS readable.

This GPS holder works well. It is adjustable to a variety of angles and so far has provided a secure and solid mount for my Garmin GPS. The mount is held in the cupholder by adjustable rubber friction pads on the sides of the cup mount. If the cup mount seems loose, push it down farther into the cup holder. So far, I'm happy with this product; it allows me to move the Garmin off the dash where it partially blocked the windshield view.

This cup mount holder purchase was an attempt to get a 7" Garmin GPS off the dashboard.First the bad: Yes, I could give this a one-star review because it won't work for my Chevvy Silverado application, but that is not a fair assessment of the product. The Siverado cup holders measure a full 3.5". The 4 mount pads on the GPS cup mount are approximately 2.75". When twisting the locking mechanism, there is very minimal movement. Even with a soda can foam insulator, the mount was too loose. There is a rectangular recess in the dash that the devise would fit into, but there was not enough adjustment to secure it.Now the good: This is a well made cup holder device for a GPS if your cup holders are 2.75". The finish is good as are the articulating adjustments. To describe the dimensions, the device twist locking mechanism extends from the cup holder 1", the arm is 5.5" center to center on the hinge pins, and the arm portion with the ball is 2". So in the vertical position, it is 8.5" from the top of the console cup holder to the center of the ball. For my application and had I been able to secure the arm, the main beam could have been 11". Others have also alluded that the arm could be longer. One other note: the two arms will articulate, but not swivel. Loosening the cup mount and twisting it is the only means of swiveling.I trust this will help those of you that can use this. Currently we have the flexible dash pad that works. It is a carry-over from the smaller Garmin. Still looking to get it off the dash. No CD player, so that mount is out, AC vent mounts are marginal, and the dash is not smooth enough for a suction mount. Windshield suction mount obstructs the windshield. Trying to stay in the good graces of the people that keep us safe.
