As mentioned before, it's a battery box, not much to say. A template would have been nice, but ultimately not necessary.

So, if doing you're own modification it's a decent choice. Slightly rounded outer edges help fit into your rounded routed hole, and the oversized faceplate cover everything up nicely. My problem was with one of the springs kinda popping out of place if you open the battery compartment just beyond where it barely slides into place. Stick something in there to pop it back out, not a big deal but...Just a poor design flaw. Also, do yourself a favor and drill a 1/4" hole right the line of your planned router template. Creates a half circle channel giving room for wires when you drop it into place. Hope you can picture that, and hop it helps.

I wanted a battery enclosure for my guitar project that made swapping batteries easy. Many of the competitors still use the cap that snaps on the end of the battery, I really liked the opening carrier and integrated contacts.

This is a nice quality battery box. I used it for a combination Continuity - LED tester that I recently built. The battery box adds a professional touch and facilitates easy battery maintenance.

Great little battery box for guitar/bass. Lower routing depth than some others.My only complaint would be no template for routing/drilling, even from the manufacturer's website.I needed this for my Graphtech Ghost Acousticphonic/Hexaphonic conversion to my Kramer Stagemaster.

Love that it was a perfect fit in my Danelectro DC59 resonator. Added a preamp for the cone transducer to improve level match to the lipstick pickup, and extend the low end response. If you do this mod, take a lot of measurements and drill exploratory holes to find the route extents, the control cavity is a weird shape, not a consistent distance from the edge, and very close to the box width. It fits though, and its a handy box that allows very fast battery swaps without risk of yanking out the wires on a regular battery connector.
