Im using this for an automated deburring device for parts. These transfer power from a motor to a wire wheel and a part rotational device. The texture on these belts are rough, and grip nylon wheels really well. I keep the belts tight, but I don't think they need to be that tight as long as it has good contact with the wheels. Used heat and melted the two ends together which worked just fine.
