This product works better than I expected give the negative reviews.I chose the smallest size and used the hottest setting on my blow dryer to cover the frayed connection on my iPhone charger. Wish I had taken a before pic for reference, but the damaged part is covered and feels strong. Now I don’t cringe if my toddler gets her hands on it and tugs like I used to.This set has five each of three different sizes making it a great value in my opinion. I will use the second size to repair the charging cord for my MacBook Pro.

Good product but ended up being too stiff for the repair I had in mind. I need to cover some exposed wires on a pair of headphones but need to retain the flexibility of the wire, as the crack was in the middle of the cord. I'm sad this didn't work, but it would be great at reinforcing cables where shown in the product images.

I was a little hesitant with this product since some of the outcomes in the review pictures didn't look so neat/flush or were burnt but I believe it came out nice. I used a hairdryer. The only thing to be wary of is that the tubing becomes quite stiff after shrinking so I would avoid using large amounts on a wire since you'll lose flexibility, but it's perfect for these short AUX to Lightning cable adapters.

Used the 1/8” tube to reinforce my iPad lightning charge cable. The shrink tube easily slipped over the connector on the lightning cable. I used a 1800 watt hair drier to warm the shrink tube. In 3-4 minutes the tube shrank to the diameter and fit snugly over the connector. The shrink tube can be to length so you can choose how much of the tube to use on any job. Remember, the tube shrinks in diameter AND length, so allow for this when deciding how much tube you need and where you want to put it on your cable.

I used this just tonight to fix two different chargers; one was an iPhone charger that was starting to fray at the junction between the cord and the plastic charger housing-the other was a MagSafe charger that was starting to fray not only at the MagSafe-cord connection, but also at the charging block-cord connection. This fix was a huge success and just saved me $75 from having to buy a new charger!! I'm glad I fixed these before it was too late and the cords started shorting out. I love these things and would buy them again in a heartbeat-oh, and I don't have a heat gun, so I very carefully used a lighter, kept a good distance away from the tubing, and I moved if often to keep things even.

This kit has 15 pieces under 3 inches each. I haven't used the heat shrink yet, but i wish I would have looked closer at the quantity. After browsing for 30 minutes and seeing 300 and 400 piece kits for the same price, I assumed that this kit had a lot of items. I was wrong. Couldn't believe a kit with 15 pieces competing with all the others with 20 to 40 times as much shrink tubing. Live and Learn.

Don't get me wrong, these tubes does shrink and solidify perfectly, it's look cute and does give an easy solution to fix your damaged cables. But these sizes does NOT fit every cable depending of the brand and shape.Even the largest tube doesn't fit the smallest end of my charger, damaging the cable even more and have to throw it away. Honestly, buy yourself another cable charger instead of wasting time and money fixing it.If the product only sells L-size tubes and were actually bigger, it would have been perfect. The other size are quite useless.

It was only 15pc I did not see that when I ordered. It looked like it had more in the kit. But it did work well with hairdryer on high for a few minutes against solid surface to bounce heat back. Great to re-enforce my apple cable ends.
