Needed some heat shrink to strengthen my computer charger cables. Worked perfectly, shrink wrap fit very well on USB-C cables and the heat gun worked well and fast! My wife loved helping me with fixing the cables.

El cable es algo corto, pero no hay impedimentos para usar una extensión. No tiene control de temperatura, pero he trabajado bastante con ella y no ha quemado ningún cable, depende del manejo. Los plásticos excelentes, sin quejas.

I don't do much electrical work so there's plenty of pieces to last me a while. I use them to identify various things too like my small needle files or my eyeglasses (tri vs bi-focals). What is more useful is the heat gun itself. Besides shrinking these supplied tubing I use it on model airplane wrap, removing strings and nubs from my 3D PLA prints ... well anything that needs a small area to be heated that an ordinary 1200°F heat gun would be too much. It warms up fast and the tip doesn't get so hot as to be dangerous. My only complaint is I didn't order the set that come in a storage box.

I purchased this kit because it had the heat gun and a good assortment of tubing to choose from. I also purchased at the same time an assortment kit of soldering shrink wrap tubing with the little solder ring built-in. I only include that information to let you know that the heat gun will NOT melt solder shrink tubes, you’ll need a heat gun generating at least 500° to achieve what you want with those. Having said that, the heat gun works surprisingly well, and I’ve used it quite a bit. It doesn’t get hot in the hand, it works consistently and shrinks the tubing it comes with just fine! Considering the price, I am quite surprised at the utility and quality of the little heat gun and the tubing. Would recommend as a great starter kit.

Yes, you read that correctly. I purchased this for use in making toys for my cat. I've used the industrial heat guns in situations they're meant for. Does this compare to those? Of course not. But it's not supposed to. For small and lightweight duty, I think this works well. It's cost effective and I really liked the selection of shrink tube options they included with it.

Does meet it's specifications, but does not exceed them. The advertised temperature is only hit right at the end of the nozzle. The provided heat shrink is in pieces shorter than expected from the picture, and is thinner walled that what is typically seen.It does work with better quality 2:1 heat shrink, so no problem using it for that. Doesn't have the most powerful motor though, and there may be problems if you can't move the gun all the way around the wire (or rotate the wire).Doesn't provide enough heat fast enough to use it with 3:1 adhesive lined (will shrink it, but the adhesive barely softens, so the tube doesn't smooth out and the adhesive will offer little protection against moisture).
