Not much to say other than it worked as promised. The drill bit cut smooth, the tap worked well and it comes with the installation and knock out tools. Easy peasey. Bonus for the case to keep everything together until I need them again.

I looked up some videos on YouTube. It seemed straightforward. I did try using a guide made with a drill press but the guide just spun and it didn't stay flat. Probably due to the small size of the area available. Even without it, I didn't have any problems keeping the hole straight. I just had to be patient sometimes when the drillbit got caught at the tip. I was a little hesitant with the thread tap, but it ended up going straight and then fixed any of its initial errors. I used a crescent wrench to twist it. I didn't have anything else that would work. I used oil to help the tapping and blew out the hole with air a few times. After that, the Helicoil placement was easy as could be and the bolt threaded great. Very good quality brand. I went with this brand because it had great results on Project Farm YouTube. Best results for the money in my opinion. I was hesitant buying more generic brands but they may be fine

Did the job. Came with about a dozen "helicoil" inserts, Don't know if the insert tool is going to make thru all twelve but it got me thru my current dilemma and for cheap.

Perfect kit to repair the exhaust flange threads in the Kohler engine of my mower. I love the fact that the kit came with the proper drill bit. Only thing missing was a t handle for the tap but was able to make do with a wrench. High quality kit on a very nice case. Can’t beat the value of this kit!

The first unit I purchased the tap snapped off ( brittle) just at the start of making new threads, sent back a got a new unit.Everything went great tap worked great.Repaired 8 holes without incident.

Repaired a stripped hole on the car intake manifold. Hole was too large for the original fastener. The helicoil worked and now the original fastener re-used. Holding power seems terrific.

This thread repair kit worked perfectly. Purchased it to repair threads on an old snowblower. Used a drill to drill out the old threads and also used the same Ryobi drill to put the new threads in. Repaired bolt holes for my electric start motor and threads that hold the shifting lever in the right gear.
