This filter allows me to capture infrared images by blocking visible light and allowing infrared light to pass through. I love it for creating unique visual effects in my photographs. Its tempered optical glass is shockproof, which guarantees durability and is very resistant. It has a multi-layer coating that repels water, dust and fingerprints. It is magnetic, which makes it easy to put on and take off quickly. It includes a magnetic adapter that can be left on the lens for quicker access. I 100% recommend it for landscape photography and outdoor scenes, where you can capture spectacular images with infrared light effects. This filter is perfect for those looking to add a creative touch to their images.

I have virtually no experience with any IR photography. I can say that I rather enjoyed doing something new with this kind of photography though. I like that this genre is designed to take place during sunny days when there are harsh shadows and bright highlights. It seems to work well for mid-day long exposures on the beach and calming out the waters. I do think its a bit on the expensive side but it is cheaper than doing a camera conversion and the magnetic filter can easily be installed and removed.

This works, but the results are not great. I had to boost my ISO to 3200, then I set the shutter speed to 60". That is a very long time to wait. The images were quite noisy, but that could have been due to the age of the camera. I was using an 8 year old mirrorless camera.Anyway, yes, it does look like an IR photo. I have an old F828 camera that I use for taking IR photos. When you convert them to monochrome, they do look similar. However, the long exposure times causes trees look blurry due to the motion of the branches. My old camera doesn't need long exposure times.Having the magnetic mount is super convenient, because you cannot see anything with the filter attached. Even the autofocus can't focus through the filter. The magnetic filter just pops on and off. I don't feel like it will fall off accidentally.I was curious if this would work with regular cameras, and the answer is yes. However, there are some serious disadvantages to using it verses a modified camera, or an old vintage camera with nightshot. Still, I'm giving this 4 stars, because the quality of the glass is very good, and it works as advertised.
