Really woke up an old Squier Strat I had! Intonation is now perfect and notes are much louder. Currently using 12-54 heavy gauge strings which fit this nut (barely). Had to modify the spacing on the neck so it would slide in. That was not hard though and if you have a small file, can be done in minutes. Overall I have been playing this guitar exclusively mynow for 3 weeks since using this nut so it was a good buy 👍

I ordered 4 different brass nuts for a partscaster I built. This one was not only the cheapest, but was the only one that didn't require any shimming. All the others were too short in the nut slot and needed shims. This one was taller and could be filed to the correct height with direct nut/wood contact. Much "livelier" tone than plastic or bone.
