I wanted a traditional UNglazed tagine. Nowhere in this items description does it say GLAZED but it is indeed glazed. The last half of the item description describes the method to properly cure a traditional UNglazed tagine. So I thought, cool, no mention of glaze anywhere and a detailed description of how to properly cure an unglazed tagine. I bought it and immediately saw that it was glazed on the inside and outside of both the upper and lower portions. I have nothing against glazed tagines but I personally have only used unglazed tagines for several reasons which aren't relevant to this review. Furthermore, the curing instructions are completely nonsensical as the whole point of a glaze is to PREVENT water, oil, or anything from penetrating into to inner clay of the vessel (although the vendor claims otherwise, physics be darned). The point is that the description of the item is confusing at best and misleading at worst, and a big pain as the seller will not allow me to return it gratis despite my desire to purchase the UNglazed tagine I found in their site!Buy this if you want a glazed tagine but do not mistake it for an unglazed tagine which is a very different tool as you will find if you do the research.

you don't know cooking until you cook in one of these...it keeps flavor very well and smells really good, but be careful not to heat it about low! it takes patience to cook in one of these. any temperature above low will crack the item

This is a rather small Tagine. Perfect for a dinner for 2. The quality is excellent. While not necessarily required, I did season thisitem before using. It is a nice addition to the kitchen just sitting on the counter or on the top shelf adding to the ambiance.

I had never cooked in a tagine before I bought this one. I did my research and bought a heat diffuser for it and seasoned it before I cooked my first meal. It turned out to be AMAZING.I served a whole chicken that I cooked for about 2/3 hours in this. It was delicious and easily fed 4 people. I will definitely be using this more. It's of good quality and a large enough size that I can host or just cook for myself!

Tagine is just as described, delivery was prompt and on-time, and was very well packed, I also got free shipping, which was nice. I enjoy using it and have made some tasty tagines already. Personally, I am not sure the taste is better than in my cast iron pot, but the tagine is more interesting. A great slow cooker, it requires very little heat to simmer once heated up, no need to add additional liquid, and a nice presentation. I would strong recommend getting a diffuser to put under it also. If you are planning on feeding more than three, I would go up once size. I also think the sellers should include instructions on seasoning the pot, but a little browsing on the web had informed me of the need and the how-to on this matter before I ordered it.
