i have both a nuvo flute and nuvo clarineo and so bought 2 of these and it works perfectly for the flute but the clarineo isnt very secure sitting on this base. The clear bit that sticks up into the instrument doesn't go high enough to really secure the clarineo because of its flared base so its just as stable sitting on the desk without this stand underneath it.

I like the way it looks with my black Nuvo flute. It is simple, functional and a bit elegant. I will probably get another one for my carbon fiber flute made by Eric the flue maker. I am liking Nuvo products. If a plastic sax was good enough for Ornette Coleman then a plastic flute is good enough for me!

Uso la base con mi Nuvo flute de estudiante y lo encuentro bastante práctico para tomarla y practicar 10 minutos por ejemplo y que esté segura en vez de tenerla en el escritorio y se aplaste o guardada y tener que estarla sacando, base sólida, materiales que se ven duraderos.

I bought my Nuvo flute a few months before purchasing this stand. I thought I wouldn't need a stand as I have plenty of counter space and the top of a piano on which to keep the flute. However, because the flute does stay out all the time (one of the great selling points for me), I decided I wanted a safer place to keep it in between daily practice sessions. The stand works well, keeping it out of danger and very accessible at the same time.

It says "desk stand," but I use it on the floor and it is great. The base is nicely weighted so it is hard to knock over (a handy feature for kid and dog proof items). The underside and the part where the end of the instrument rests are covered in some kind of fuzzy fabric, so if you use it on a desk, it won't scratch, and if you use it on a concert instrument, it won't damage the instrument. I want them to come up with one that attaches to a music stand.
