I was amazed that I couldn’t find this polyurethane belt material locally at any of the specialty tool stores so I went Amazon for the rescue.It was easily cut to length and I used a propane torch to melt the ends slightly and then held the molten ends together by hand until they cooled. I used an Xacto knife to trim away some of the squeeze out. I was really surprised at how strong the ends bonded together. The bond is probably as strong as the cord itself. The external texture provides a nice grippy surface that is slip free. My scroll saw is back in business working as well as it ever has.
