Decent traction device if you have an area, you can leave it set up. I tried this over the door as shown with door mount, but it takes so long to adjust I won't use it that way. I am fortunate to have a few areas I can leave this hanging but if I did not there is no way I would bother with the setup of this device. The sling itself is comfortable and easy to free yourself from. Really has helped relieve some nagging pains in my neck and trap area with continuous use but they need to provide better instructions or just an easier way to adjust the whole thing.

I ruptured my C4-C5 disc years ago and missed months of work and and a year of PT trying to get back to normal. My "new normal" is pretty good, and the right pillows, neck exercises and other neck gear is key to keeping my neck in a good place.This traction machine works...but it makes me nervous to use. I have a much more expensive traction machine that lets me pump to a very specific PSI that I can use while laying down, and I can press a button to release the air at any time. Additionally, the velcro that holds my head in is not so strong that I wouldn't be able to tear it off if I moved with substantial force.That traction machine gives me more granular control, comfort and piece of mind than this. That said, that is a much, much more expensive device that takes up far more space. I was recommend that device by my PT specialist, and I would say that if you looking for a serious neck traction machine, that is the route you should go. If you are looking for something more affordable, this device is designed for neck traction and it's accurate described by the seller.

This traction device may help somewhat to alleviate neck pain. However, I haven't been able to use it consistently as I don't have a good place to set it up. It takes quite some maneuvering to get it all adjusted...so I don't use it enough to know if consistent use would make a difference in the pain level.

Even though this is a little scary looking it can make all teh difference in people with neck issues and headaches. A gentle tug on your head and the cartilage given the opportunity to recover and expand a little bit. At least, that is what it feels like. I would say this is a great tool to have at home to reduce your reliance on pain medications. This will work for people of all body sizes and there is a quick escape velcro on the bottom if you ever need out immediately. Perfect.

I have a stiff neck but can’t afford to keep going to physical therapy to get relief. I used something similar to this TENSPORT Cervical Neck Traction Device during physical therapy, and was looking for a home device to help make my neck feel better. This device includes a door anchor withcarabiner and extension belt so that it can be attached to any door in your home. It is easy to get started using it because it is very simple to use. You use the black rope to tighten the traction and the white rope to loosen the tension. I like this item, and it makes my neck feel better right away.

The TENSPORT cervical neck decompression device helps to decompress the spinal cord in the neck area and help to relieve pain. It comes with a canvas cradle which attaches to the neck, a door anchor, a carabiner, extension belt, and a user guide. I found that it was easy to set up. I secured it to a closet door. After mounting the extension belt and the carabiner, I attached the cradle/bracket holder. The entire set up was very easy. What was comforting to know is that there is a safety release that instantly releases any tension in the cable, should the process become uncomfortable or in an emergency.I got this kit for my wife who was struggling with a bout of neck pain. It must be said that if a person using this device is in pain, or is not technically inclined, a second person is necessary to set it up and operate correctly, as was in my case. My wife found that it helped her temporarily alleviate some of the neck pain, but she was not convinced that this is a long term solution.In conclusion, this device is well made and easy to use. The pain relief can be somewhat temporary. It definitely is more helpful if used in conjunction with doctor prescribed meds.

This is a very cleverly designed apparatus. The ‘saddle” (I guess that’s what it’s called.) wraps around your head by pulling on your chin and at the back of your head, and is secured by a strap with a Velcro closure. This is very effective for stretching your neck. Using it gave significant relief to a stiff neck I had and made my whole neck feel free and loose for some time. The pain relief and the free and loose feeling in my neck lasted several hours after I stopped the procedure.I got zero directions with the one I received, but it was not difficult to figure out how it went together. You just hook the appropriate part on top of the door and then shut the door. A little round rubber cylinder gets caught between the top of the closed door and the door frame. You will be surprised to see that it is strong enough to hold the gizmo in place even after you hook up the rest of it, sit down in front of the door, start the ratchet procedure, and stretch the vertebrae in your neck. It feels good.The device safely stretches the neck muscles by using small incremental steps through a ratchet mechanism. There are two ‘pull cords’ that operate it. One of the cords manipulates a ratchet mechanism that gradually pulls up in a series of pulls, and stretches your neck. The other cord is a release switch. Once you pull on that one, the whole thing releases. I recommend this when your neck is sore and you want some relief from pain without taking pain reliever medication.
