I moved the drives in my computer to this expansion card and now have space for 6 additional drives which is slowly getting filled. I own a music web site and the ability to add drives is extremely important. I currently have 7 drives this computers and space for an additional 6 drivers.Would I purchase again?Yes this has been a life and space saver for me

I have windows updated all the way and no matter what I do Windows will not see this card. However my bio sees the card and I've tried many different configurations in the BIOS and still nothing. I put way too much time in trying to figure out how to get this card to work. I'm so frustrated.

So far so good, was a straight unplug, remove, install, and re-plug from a similar but different brand 2-port unit. Drives all showed right up, speeds are the same/better than before with other card.

as a USD83 SATA Card, it's been overpriced. Then will expected it should be Finest in everything, unfortunately not, the pin-up heatsink is very unperfectly mounted with at least 20 degrees shifted. It operates normally, no surprise with this chip in this too expensive retail price.Yes, i urgently needed it, then bough this.

First I installed this in a standard PCIe x1 slot. Did not work. Lit up, but no drive status... moved it to a pcie x16 slot and it worked fine.

Pros: all drives just show up in BIOS, no hassle.LEDs show you which drives are connected and which arent, pretty easy to see.Cons: doesn't work with Optical drives....? At least not for me. Not like you would use it to do that.Other thoughts: this is not a RAID controller. I didn't expect it to be, and you shouldn't either.
