Cut a 1/4" v in 2x3 for a guide. held razor blade in needle nose vise grips. Heated red hot with little torch, touched belt tips on the razor blade then immediately put both ends together using V in 2x3 for guide. Adsolutely perfect alignment. Trimmed melted edge with nail clippers. Put it on my mills auto-feed, it worked perfect. Locally, they wanted $20 to make an 8mm x 20" round belt for me. I made it in 15 minutes and that included making the v cut block and $5 bucks for a 1meter length of 8mm urethane round belt from Amazon. If I need another, time will be under 2 minutes. Spinning wheel drive bands don't last forever, and the ones I had were aging. When one broke and I discovered I didn't have a full replacement I decided to hunt around on Amazon. For 1/4 of the cost of a single drive band I decided it was worth it to try this stuff.I love it! At first I was worried that it was going to be a little too thick for the whorl on my Fricke, but it works just fine. It should also work on my espinner, Louet, and what I think is a Baynes Colonial (once I make a flyer for it).

I needed a small belt for my ancient Kreitler rollers. Since lots of people are riding bikes indoors, these belts are unobtainable, and are 20 bucks each anyway. Got this product, watched a YouTube video, and was in business within a half hour after delivery. Works great!
