Its high recovery ratio makes it possible to repair most damaged cable jackets without removing connectors. Therefore, 3:1 shrink ratio tubing can be used in significantly more applications compared to 2:1 shrink ratio tubing. Additionally, 3:1 marine heat-shrink tubing shrinks around wires and terminals more tightly, eliminating any air gaps.

I ordered 3/8th inch tubing and when this arrived it looked way too big. In fact, it measures 1/2". I ordered 3/8ths inch because the stuff I have on hand does not shrink enough. However, when I shrank this, it goes down to less than a 1/4" OD. This is great stuff!! The adhesive seal is a great feature on heat shrink tubing because it prevents it from sliding on the wire and keeps out moisture and other contaminants. This is a better than average product and is a good value.

Used 1-1/2" to cover 3/4" EMT conduit and special fittings used to fabricate a rack. 1" shrink tube would not fit over the fittings. The 1-1/2" shrink wrap when heated snugly covered the EMT and fittings tightly. These adhesive sealant was superb.

we’re teaching basic wiring skills to teenagers and, when they make a connection, want them to understand how to use heat shrink. We never use more than 2 to 3 inches at a time per youth, and so this will last us years in our training programs! What a great value

I see a lot of bad reviews for shrink tubing. It seems people don't understand that it is sold by the size of the diameter that it will cover. Not the width it is when flat prior to use and how it is shipped. I ordered the 1-1/2 inch and can be seen it one picture it fits a 1-1/2 inch container. If measured in shipped (flat) condition it is over 2-1/2 inches. Here is a formula to figure the diameter of what the flat measurement will cover. Flat measurement (2.5) times 2 since it is a loop divided by pi (3.14). 2.5x2=5, 5/3.14=1.59 so the 2.5 inches you measured fits a 1.59 circle. When ordering measure, the diameter of what you want this to cover and order that. As for the performance of this tubing I am sure it is fine and will work great. Other reviews complain about how its shipped. Folded instead of rolled, and the creases that causes. When shrunk the creases will melt away.

This is larger than 1/2 inch. I slid a .590 pin into it so, if your looking for 1/2 look elsewhere. Can't figure why they can't tell the truth.
