I like the fact you can tilt and turn your chart plotter in any direction. I no longer have to get out of my seat to turn on or adjust my chart plotter. This mount holds my Garmin Echomap 93SV very tight with no slippage. I highly recommend this product.

Despite the description, the hole pattern of the mounting plate does not mate up to Humminbird mouiting pattern. The top plate is already swiss cheesed with all those holes and putting another set of holes in the right place is a not possible- you end up trying to drill half a hole and its a mess.Humminbird does not publish their mounting pattern in their install guide- they just show the gimbal getting screwed through the top, so trusting the manufactuer's assurance that it would fit was a mistake.I serously question all the 4 & 5 star reviews - did anyone ACTUALLY use this and what finder or device was this used on?

This product was way stronger than expected!! It does have a little weight to it but I like the strength of the whole thing!! Simple and easy to use!!

My cockpit is tight and I needed a quality mount for a Garmin Vivid 5+. Used 10-24*1" stainless bolts and nylon lock nuts to secure the bracket to the mounting plate, 12-24*3/4" stainless screws with lock washers for the base plate into fiberglass.I genuinely expected the mount and display to sway or give but it feels very secure. No concerns about the sturdiness over wake.I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because the ball and socket design barely limits certain angles. I got pretty close to exactly where I want, but would have preferred another inch or so of range.

This thing is beefy and holds my 9” unit perfectly. Can’t see it holding a 12” unit though
