It put the GPS in a good viewing location and held the GPS stably in a 2013 Honda Ridgeline with the factory stereo/CD player. Did not need to be re-tightened frequently.

The idea is promising, but its success heavily relies on the positioning of your CD player. In my case, the dash serves as a sunshade for my Double Din stereo (which isn't flush), and this protruding dash obstructs the wing nut, causing the base to rest exactly on the volume/on-off knob.I don't have any negative remarks about this item. I'll be testing it in another vehicle next week.

So far this is the best way to attach my beloved Garmin Nuvi 3590. I’ve tried suction mounts, weighted mounts, vent mounts… all are awkward and block my view of something. This CD slot mount is really well designed and brings the GPS screen closer, which I like.

I was desperate to get a GPS holder for my new-to-me Rav4, before an upcoming trip. This is the one, finally. Billed as a CD-slot gizmo, but luckily there's a little slot between the radio and the vent above, and this holder jams in there firmly. If you need to fiddle with the heating controls, you can tilt the GPS out of the way. Suction GPS holders don't stick to the curves or leatherette - ditto with adhesive ones -, and are illegal (rightly so) on the windshield in my state. I didn't want to block a vent with a vent-clip holder. I had looked on-line and nobody had any ideas. I'm not paying for phone data, nor do I want to be tracked via my phone, so I never leave Location Services on. Nor do I pay for those spiffy SatNav services - they don't work in Canada, where I sometimes go. I hope GPSs don't go the way of the dodo.

Good grip on the CD slot. I am using it with a 7” and a 9” tablet. The screw handle looks different than the one from the picture. One star less for that. Otherwise easy to use and solid performance.

I needed to get my GPS off the windshield inhibiting my driving view. I saw this solution to use my CD player as a holder. It works great! It no longer blocks my view while driving and is slightly adjustable to my viewing comfort. It holds well, no jumping. No tools needed and no adhesive to scrape off later.

This simple mount is holding a 6" Garmin snuggly in the CD slot. What's the 'but'? Nothing too serious...No written instructions...a quick trip to youtube solved that. The pictures on the product page help, it would still be nice for a simple 1-2-3 on paper. The product itself is solid and nicely finished with no sharp edges or roughness.I will add that even though it fit tight with the adjusting screw, I did take it out and add the included rubber spacers meant for a wider CD slot. Felt more secure and the rubber insulates against the metal mount and the plastic cd slot frame.Installed in a F-150...the mount is holding up fine even on uneven dirt roads.Wish I had bought this years ago, nice to get the map within easy viewing level instead of the cup holder stick or having it sit on top of the dash. Blocks a bit of the radio controls but using the steering wheel controls makes this a very small inconvenience. Next best thing to a built in unit.I'd buy it again.

I have always found it difficult to install my Garmin Nuvi GPS in a car so that it doesn't block your vision or keep falling off. With this mount adaptor for a Nuvi the GPS looks almost as if it was installed at the factory. Doesn't block my vision or ever fall off. Looks neat and tidy. I wish I had known about these a long time ago.

I got one for my wife, because her Jeep Liberty has too little dashboard for the Bean-bag, and it was a safety hazard. This unit fits nicely into her CD player easily, with few problems seeing things around the radio/CD player. Also it does not restrict vision through the windshield.I just ordered one for my Venza. This will work as well in the Venza CD player, with virtually no interference with things behind the GPS, once mounted on the new holder.I am very happy with the way it fits, and allows access to the GPS screen!

The job of this item is to mount a Garmin GPS to the dashboard without using a suction cup on the windshield or dash. It does this job very well. The mount fits in the (mostly obsolete) CD slot on your stereo and is very secure. The GPS is solid while driving and can be moved to the most readable position. But it does one thing it shouldn't do. It blocks the upper third of the radio touchscreen. Which also means it blocks the upper third of the backup camera. That one issue (an important one) brings my rating down to 3 stars.

Fits my Garmin LM 60 good. I had to remove the plastic on the tightening screw to get it to fit into the CD slot the way I wanted. I know I could of flipped it around but I would of lost a little in height. I also liked the screw on top, helps to see what your doing. All in all , a great little device . It fits tight and sturdy.

I was skeptical at first, but after going on a three day trip with my 7” gps attached it held the unit perfectly. There was little or no vibration visible and the viewing angle was easy to adjust.Overall I am very happy with this GPS mount.

The CD slot mount is genius and works very well with no damage to the slot. Basically the bottom edge of the GPS will be just a bit below the slot itself and so the placement of the slot in your car will be the key factor in deciding whether this mount is the way to go. If it does not block anything and would be in a good position then you can't go wrong. It is sturdy and the design of using the screw to separate the thus steady the GPS is simplistic and I would not expect any issues. It is also easy to move from car to car if needed.
