It slid in perfectly. I had to sand it down a bit beneath, and the slots a bit to accommodate my strings. This was simple with sandpaper and a little time. Highly recommended.

I specifically chose to buy this because the other brands are not curved on the bottom for the fender neck.So…. Riddle me this… I bought this after reading how it was cut for the Fender Telecaster (be right back) yep that’s the guitar I have (2007 Fender - not squire, not some other brand). To my surprise the cut was not correct. I flatted the to nuts together and noticed this brass version was only slightly curved and would need reshaping.Ok - so I have never done this before on a brass nut but heck I figured I would give it a try.I was able to shape it “good enough” that it fit to the curve needed and it wasn’t too short, not too high.Lesson is that if you are going to buy one of these they are likely cut for some versions of Fender Tele but there are variations out there so be aware you may have to be comfortable about cutting. I learned som me cool Luthier skills from this exercise and am glad I did. I feel even more connected now to my musical hobbie!

I ordered a scalloped neck for my Fender Stratocaster and fit this brass nut on it.The nut is a little too thick to fit into the neck slot. So I had to some filling with sandpaper. Also, it's a little too short so there is a slight gap on both ends of the neck slot. Although string placement is perfect still.

The Fender Brass Nut. It will increase volume and presence considerably. Higher frequencies than bone and synthetic nut are greatly achieved. Some my not like this increased tonal range depending on their amplifier. Mechanical lubracants; 3-In-1 Oil, grease, motor oil, gun oil, a swab of WD-40 from your (or mom's) garage would serve better than anything from a music shop for brass to nickle. You will need to shape the brass with a file and some sandpaper. In the least, you should have an automotive feeler gauge and some duct tape to be safe. Techniques from any video on nut installing will apply the same with brass. Biggest plus: the bottom radius of the brass billet. It mates with modern American and Mexican made Strats and Teles. This product may not be recommended for Squire guitars by some.On my Buttercream Players Stratocaster, this prodoct looks and plays exquisitely. Beveled, rounded, low profiled and steel wooled to a goden shine. The alnico single coils are more stratospheric and punchy. Very high shimmers of sympathic and harmonic undertones spread out after every attack.Quacks your guitar a big notch. Might be dangerous for some people. Warning.

Perfetto, molto bello. Ma non al cantino con una 0.8 non vibra abbastanza per un sustine alla Malmsteen, consiglio di usare corde 0.8-46

This is really good quality. A lot of nuts with different materials always feel very plastic-y and cheap, but this feels like better quality to me and matches the look of the frets. I'm unsure how it affects my tone since I've upgraded a few other things at the same time. The downside of brass is that you have to keep it lubricated, unlike TUSQ XL for example, which is self lubricating. As a word of warning, you have to sand/file it down in order to fit your guitar. This is how most nuts are. I have a 2005 MIM strat and it was both too tall and too wide. I'm only using sand paper so it took quite awhile to get it shaped correctly. I find it funny that there are reviews with people saying it popped in and just worked. Unless they received a nut that was shaped more than the one I got, they probably have really messed up action. If you're unable to take the time to sand it down, you can take it to a shop or buy better tools. You may also consider other materials like TUSQ which take less time to sand. Either way, make sure you do a little research before purchasing, because even if it just pops in the slot it will likely not be the correct size.

I was expecting at least a little futtling and a bit of compromise, but it seats and aligns perfect with the oem nut. Considering the guitar it went on is a vintage 62 custom strat, I'd say they did their homework on this one. String spacing is perfect, but of course the slots have to be grooved slightly to proper angle. Tone is much brighter on the open strings while chording and mega sustain.Very happy with the turn out and turn over time on delivery. I opted for normal snail mail and it took 2 weeks from order to my po box.

It's like any other Fender nut except it's brass, so it looks good and should last for the life of the guitar. There is some work required to sand it down to the correct height. The sanding has to be done on a 9.5" radius curve. I accomplished this by placing sandpaper rough side up on my 9.5" radius fretboard, using the fretboard as a template to maintain the correct curvature as I sanded down the excess brass. It took a while but worked perfectly. Be sure to sand evenly and keep checking the height. It doesn't need to be glued in. It fits snugly enough.

These Nuts are made to customize guitars, because they are for necks with Nut width 1-5/8 "(41.27mm) this is the narrowest in guitars, the guitars are wide standard 1-11/16" (42.85mm). These Nuts are the same used by Yngwie. Its exact dimensions are 1-5/8 "x 1/4" x 1/8 ". Obviously not suitable for standard neck guitars as standard fender strat for example. Regarding brook mays (ARLINGTON Texas), is a store that is far from miami, so it takes so long to get it sent.
