I only needed one of these to extend the propane line for a heater I wanted to move in my garage. The package came with 2 fittings so now I have a spare.These fittings are top notch quality wise and the asking price is more than reasonable. Installation was a breeze.Be sure to use the yellow (combustable gas) tape or putty thread sealer. Do NOT use the white Teflon tape.

I had planned to use one of these couplings to extend the propane hose to one of my heaters. I’m not sure if these were damaged in shipping or came from the factory like this. The beveled flare surface should be smooth with no pitting or other irregularities so that a seal that won’t leak can be formed. This coupling would probably work fine for a liquid, but I wouldn’t use it for propane which was its intended purpose. I’ve posted a picture of the couplings that I received so that it can be compared to the pictures in the listing.Jan 25thI'm updating this review after looking at flare fittings in 3 of the 'big box' stores. All of the flare fittings I looked at in all 3 stores had scratches and dings on the flare surface. The Joywayus fittings were just about average with every other flare fitting I saw.
