My Dewalt cutting disk was ineffective on a particular piece of steel. This disk cut like butter. Literally an order of magnitude faster. Similiar thickness.

The grinder wheel that came with my angle grinder is very useful, but takes off too much material in places. These cut-off wheels are thin, very durable and last a lot longer than I was expecting. The cut is also cleaner than I thought it would be as long as my hands are steady. It's important to have some kind of brace you an hold yourself steady with when working with these. These also throw metal that will burn through shoes if you press down too hard when grinding. Be a bit patient with it so that you don't burn your house down.
