Is this supposed to just be a $60 white strap? Ordered thinking it was the whole assembly and received just a white strap.what a joke.

さすがのPETZL、良くできているが、滑り止めのトゲトゲでさっそくロープがささくれた。これにより使用を中止、予備に降格させた。やはり、Jetstepタイプの方が一段優れていると思った。

Why would the rope catch even be an option on the pantin foot ascender? It is more problematic than useful without it. It doesn’t state in the description that it is a partial assembly, so now I have to order the catch separately if I want to be able to use it effectively. Would have been 5 stars but it is cumbersome without the catch.

Great product. Shipped early and arrived early. I ended up purchasing the small black rope lock to add on this device. Could not find it on Amazon so ordered from Sherrill Tree. Depends on what type of work you are planning to do whether or not you would want this. If you are new to ascending rope I would definitely recommend purchasing the rope lock.

Works great, too bad it doesn't include a rope catch...it's OK though if you have a drill, bits, and a slim carabiner.Since this is a progress capture device not a safety device. Simply drill the hole, install the rope, clip on a carabiner to lock cam in place and enjoy not having to worry about the rope coming out.If petzl wants to be cheap then mod it yourself and save your money!

It’s a great ascender for the price. I wish it would have come with a catch, but I was able to buy and install separately. I use it for tree climbing. Works great!

You have to buy a separate clip to retain the rope otherwise it'll fall out. Very annoying but only an additional $10.

Excellent for rapid ascent. Definitely a must to have a right and left ascender if using a double rope technique.
