My first purchase was about 3 years ago with a 12000 wall mounted unit. It worked great but I needed something for the otherside of the house where the bedrooms are located. The ceiling unit allowed for a minimum of lost space in the hallway. The house is a bungalow and the unit would be installed in an insulated attic. I needed extra length in the lines and Senville was very accommodating. The installation was much more involved compared to the wall mounted unit. I had to shave a little off the roof trusses to fit in between. This was a DIY install. I had the proper vacuum pump from my last install. Between the instructions provided and the videos available on the net I had all the needed information. If you are not a patient person, unable to do renovations type projects or lack basic problem solving skills, then this may not be the type of project for you. If you are at all in doubt hire a professional. My previous wall mounted unit has been running problem free for about 3 years now. It is very quiet and easy on the power bill. The ceiling unit is also very quiet. It easily heats the back rooms and takes some of the work load off of the livingroom unit.I highly recommend the company, its products and the overall world of heat pumps.I am on Nova Scotia with lowest winter temps between -20 and -25. I have been running heat pumps only since 2012. I have always had a heated house and felt comfortable.I switched because the cost of a new boiler, chimney liner and oil tank where outrageous. Plus the cost of the oil. All my units basically had a one year break even on costs. But it depends on the cost of install. I have seen installation cost equal to or double the cost of the unit itself. Do yourself a favour and get quotes, talk to others for recommendations and educate yourself on what you need. After 10 years of having heat pumps I cannot give a single negative about the units. The only thing I could caution on is installation. Find a company that has been in business for awhile. My first install involved a couple of guys that quite the business 6 months later. So they could not provide support and no other companies seemed to want to look at something they did not install.

I bought the ceiling cassette and this system does not come with any hardware to mount the unit according to customer service. This mounting hardware is not regular stuff either. It is specialty hardware that you can not just go the a hardware store and find.Update: Customer Service did get back to me and find hardware at home depot that I could purchase and did offer a credit for the cost of the hardware. To their credit, they have been good to work with and responsive despite my original disappointment with the order. They really went the extra mile to make me happy.

First time doing anything like this, but installation wasn’t too bad.I also bought the exterior mounting brackets that fit this unit. Worth the money. The ceiling unit was the hardest to install, mainly because it was almost the same width as my roof truss spacing. It took a bit of work to get it up in place. The support brackets were made up with threaded rod/nuts.The external unit was mounted on the brackets pretty easily. The copper lines weren’t too bad to run, just be careful when making bends, don’t kink the line.We vacuumed the lines until Iwas confident there were no leaks. The unit was pre-charged so I didn’t have to worry about the correct gas to add. Used a HVAC tech to get the warranty.I’ve had it running for the last month at my cabin and it’s keeping the temp at 18’C in December in Newfoundland . Not bad for a cabin that’s around 1000 sq ft.I’d expect it to work even better once I get some heat in the basement too.
