These are an absolute game changer when installing newel posts to the floor. This was my first attempt at stair railings and without this system I'd have probably struggled. You tube is full of instructional videos on whichever Zipbolt you purchase and believe me they make every connector for the entire job. I'll never use any other system, if I ever do another staircase again.. I highly recommend these..

Great product, easily bolts newel posts to floor. A little pricey but pays for itself in ease of use.

Made life easy when installing the 8 newel post. No wrench needed and when it came to leveling and pluming the post the cam assembly made it quick. I bet it cut the installation time in half if not more.Dave Fisher FB: One Room Schoolhouse Renovation

These came with the newer hex head which would make installing them a breeze with an impact driver. The only drawback is there was no impact socket in the package. I had no issue installing them with a large adjustable wrench, it just took a bit longer. Don’t forget to lube the threads before screwing then in (I used pipe dope, some videos I watched recommended wax).

I installed 5 of these zip bolt newel post fasteners and they worked GREAT! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to install a newel post.

The thing I figured out on these is that while the video shows these being zipped in with a drill driver... Start them by hand, then use a drill driver. I stripped 2 of these out just using the drill driver. Once they were started I used my impact driver and they are solid!
