These are not the best for trying to crimp cables, but it heat them Up and solder the cable to the lug they should work. That is what I did, so time will tell if they hold up.

I bought a hydraulic crimper but if the cable gauge is small it won't hold it has to be soldered by heating the terminal and melting solder in the terminal and put in the wire with flux and cooling with water before the insulation burns. The wire has to be completely clean no corrosion use baking soda and a wire brush then final cleaning with purple degreaser dry before applying flux.

It can be particularly difficult to find good repair ends for battery cables. The typical bolt together as you find it all auto parts stores are severely lacking. These lugs have been a great find. The only critiques i have is the size I need only comes in universal as opposed to positive and negative sizes, And this is a very hard casting of copper that takes a pretty strong tool to crimp properly.

Have been using for several years with no problems. Never soldered, just crimp and installed on many farm tractors. Never go back to bolt on terminals that loosen and corrode.

They seem to be good quality i didnt use the heat shrink i had some heat shrink from another project that has the glue in it but other than being a pain to crimp they will work fine

I don't even know what sheerness means. These are solid battery lugs, and should work fine for anyone using the CORRCT CRIMP tool and die. If you don't know what that means, dont buy this. After crimping these CAN be soldered using solder ingots and flux paste which helps keep the crimp from corroding inside. This isn't required though, the crimp is plenty good by itself mechanically and electrically.
