I used a few to repair some charging cables where they eventually break where the wire meets the plug. These have adhesive - which is needed. The tube alone isn't enough. I was surprised how much heat this needs. I thought a hair dryer was enough, but maybe none of them would work with that level of heat. That did nothing, or almost nothing. I had to get a lighter, a torch, and then it worked, but it's also too easy to burn the rubber that way until you get how to do it. These kinds of things can actually be tricky to use for this purpose because they shrink lengthwise as well as widthwise. I hadn't considered that at first. I realized that I had stop work on one end first - the plug part - shrink that and let the glue set. Only then come back and do the rest. But even that is tricky because you have to watch for the longitudinal shrink. Put the end of the plug and work first literally on the very end point so it attaches at the place you want. Let it "dry". Once that is anchored solidly, left for quite a while to cool and grip tightly, you can deal with the rest of it. But you also have to watch out for the fact that when the tube is too far up on the jack, it can interfere with the placement of the jack when there is a case on the phone or the iphone. It's a little, maybe a lot, trickier to get it right than I expected. Also, I had to buy this entire box of these to get around seven that were the right size for the repair I needed to do. Still, the price was ok for that.

Great for requiring tail lights on a dirtbike. This helps keep connections safe from the elements. They fit great. Thick material. Lots of sizes so it hit everything I needed them for. You can use them on anything that has wiring. Easy to put on and shrink down.

I've used a lot of heat shrink for work, but not typically the glue filled. This wasn't purchased for electrical work, I used it to make handle grips after cutting a set of ratcheting box wrenches in half to make affordable stubbies. The glue stuck well and they came out great.A couple words on glue filled heat shrink though as I am an industry professional.I don't use this stuff professionally because it's more expensive and it's usefulness in most situations is debatable. The idea here is to keep oxygen away from the copper so it doesn't oxidize but a good solder joint should be sufficient as soldering has a tendency to melt the jacket into the copper a bit and seal it against the copper.Solder itself protects the exposed copper and if done correctly a little solder, and lots of heat should wick down the wire, sealing the insulating jacket to the copper and preventing air from getting into the wire.If the connections are in a place of high humidity or moisture this stuff might be useful as long as it's shrunk enough to seal tight on either side of the connection.
