Well, it works good. It's really hard to get tight on your boot because of the strap design, but it looks like all the foot ascenders are similar straps. I run ddrt with a zigzag plus and I'll be 30' up in under a minute. And I'm 200 lbs. Grab yourself a cheap hand ascender as well. It helps. And tuck your pants in your boot for ascent .

I’ve never used any other ascender but this thing is great! Makes climbing up a breeze even for a beginner, with one ascender and a rope wrench with a sling over the shoulder to my belt to capture progress. Im able to step and pull my self up on my rope easier than it is to spur up I’m about to order another one and make my own knee ascender so I can walk right up with both legs. I love how easy it is to get on and off the rope! Game changer! the only thing I think needs improvement is the webbing you attach with could be made differently to make it easier to put on and tighten down. I’m able to strap this on over my spikes but it’s not the easiest getting it on and tight. It’s the only down side in my opinion I would use it even more if I could get it on faster I’m about to mount it to my spikes.

これまで数社のフートアッセンダーを使いましたが、この度このJet Stepを購入しました。使用感はこれまでのモノとは異なり、ストレス無く上に上にと進めました。スプリングを使わない構造ゆえロープの滑りが良くまたロープを外す際にもロープをほんの少し下に引くことで簡単に外せます。他社の器具にも言えることですが、足首と膝を体と並行にして膝から上に持ち上げる様にする事でロープが外れるこなく上に移動できます。

Good parts: easy to clip in and out of the rope, nice design to pull through the center of two cams; though ambidextrous it is best on the right foot due to the direction of the rope hook.Bad parts: Mine did not have a good finish coating on the metal, almost thought it was used, but close examination just revealed a bad finish. The manufacturer should redesign the way the webbing (straps) hold the device on the rope side because they come together in a way that can interfere with the rope glide through the device. With a lot of practice it is possible to work the straps and positioning to alleviate the problem somewhat.I think I would have given it 5 stars if the finish of the device was high quality. I do like the way the device works.

The actual ascender mechanism works just as expected. The spring tension of the cam is light enough for the ascender to move up the rope easily. The buckles on the straps are very awkward to adjust. They hold just fine but are difficult to tighten, requiring two hands. I may look for alternate buckles to replace them.

Great product. The Jet step works amazingly well. It’s lightweight you don’t even feel it while wearing it. It does no damage to the rope unlike other products out there. It stays in place on the rope and doesn’t kick out on you. Smooth operation while climbing. This has been a game changer for me and the rescue team I run on. We will be purchasing more jet steps. I highly recommend buying this product. Easy on, easy off the rope.
