Mainly automotive use applications in my case. The clear tubing allows you to see when the adhesive has sealed the connection completely. This prevents overheating and cold spots. You can rest assured the connection is sealed. Another plus is if you do make a bad repair, the person inspecting the repair spot can physically see all the way into the repair and look for corrosion, poor crimps and whatever may be an issue. 100% recommend. I actually had our shop stock our supply cabinet with every common size we use because it works so well. We do very high quality repair work so why not show it off with clear heat shrink tubing!!

I use it for XT60 connectors/ fpv drone batteries or ELRS modules. Totally shrinks down and can take a beating.

I used to use the thinner version for electronics repair, but this larger version was perfect for sealing the connections of 3 copper grounding rods that I connected serially to form an in-the-ground air terminal for lightning protection right next to my mother's house. I don't want rainwater getting into the joints and compromising the connections. I was using it to wrap a light tube that had a wire connecting the terminals on the ends. It shrunk nicely over the bulb and wire and it works very well with the heat the bulb generates when it's on. I happy with the product.

It does seal, but crinkles and makes it difficult to see what’s sealed under it
