Ad says 56mm heel. Try 54mm. That leaves a big gap! No impressed. I've had some sloppy neck joints but 2mm is ridiculous!

So I ordered this neck back in January and received it in February. It was intended to go on a guitar that I'm bulding and donating to a local benefit/music festival that's being held raise money for the local food pantries. Well last week I installed fret marker inlays and then today while taking the measurements to place my bridge I discovered that the neck I received is not the 24.75 I planned for. The 12th fret is at 12.25" which should make it a 24.50" scale, except that the frets are not properly spaced for that scale. Sadly disappointed. Looked all over the listing as well as my online invoice and for the life of me I couldn't see any "button" to click on to contact them directly, so I'm left with only the option of leaving this review.

Ok, I might be outside the norm. Maybe. Note that this neck does NOT have markers in the middle of the fretboard. It only has little tiny dots on the side. I actually liked this, because I wanted to pry the frets out of it and give it custom inlays. So not having dots in the fretboard was a plus for me. What complicated this is that the fretboard itself is very thin, with no margin left for any additional sanding. Also, the side dots are inconsistently placed, and I found some of them to be drilled so close to the surface of the thin fretboard that just a little bit of sanding exposed them and made me fill and drill them again. If the fretboard was just a little thicker, and the side dots placed just a little more centrally, I'd really like this product. It would be uniquely useful to me.

Considering the price I didn't expect too much but I was pleasantly surprised. The craftsmanship is quite good, a few frets could use from fine tuning and filing around the edges but that's going to be the case for most unfinished guitar necks you buy. The only problem I had was the fretboard (closest to where the body will be attached) was broken. But when I emailed them about it they sent a new one out right away (free of charge). I was really impressed with the customer service
